Kolliken is a municipality in the district of Lenzburg in the canton of Aargau, Switzerland. It is located about 12 kilometers southeast of the city of Aarau and has a population of around 2,300 people.

History

The area around Kolliken has been inhabited since at least the Roman era, with evidence of settlements dating back to the 1st century AD. In the Middle Ages, the village was part of the possessions of the Lenzburg Castle and later passed to the Habsburgs. In 1803, it became part of the newly created canton of Aargau.

Kolliken is situated in the upper Wynental valley, between the towns of Reinach and Menziken. The municipality has an area of 4.49 square kilometers, with about two-thirds of this being agricultural land and the remainder being forest or settlements. The highest point in the municipality is the Ütliberg, which stands at an elevation of 641 meters above sea level.
