Krattigen is a municipality in the Interlaken-Oberhasli administrative district in the canton of Bern, Switzerland. History

The earliest traces of human settlement in the Krattigen area date back to the Neolithic period, around 3500 BC. During the Roman era, the area was part of the province of Raetia and served as an important transportation route between Italy and the northern parts of the empire. In the Middle Ages, the village of Krattigen was part of the estates of the noble families of Thun and Strättligen. During the Reformation, the village converted to the new Protestant faith.
